Upon successful login, the API returns a session ID which must be included in the header of all subsequent API calls. This session maintains context until explicitly logged out or expired.

In the Tests tab, you can write a script such as pm.environment.set("session", pm.response.json().sid); to extract and save the session token for use in later requests.

Using jq '.rules[] | select(.action == "Drop")' filters all rules in the array and prints those whose
"action" field is "Drop". It's efficient for analyzing large rulebases.

The Gaia API is focused on system-level configuration such as NTP, routing, DNS, SNMP, and backups. Rule base or blade management is handled by the Management API, not Gaia API.
