Configuring Auto-Create Client Printers to limit or disable printer auto-creation reduces session startup time by minimizing printer mapping operations.

A resource location is a collection of resources that you use to deliver applications and desktops to users. It can include Citrix ADC, VDA, Active Directory Domain, and Hypervisor. These resources are required for hosting and managing the machines that deliver apps and desktops to users. StoreFront, Citrix Director, Citrix Provisioning, and Database are not part of a resource location, but are components of the Citrix Cloud service.

Site-local policies you create in Citrix Studio override all Active Directory GPOs. Among GPOs, the standard Windows order applies: OU GPOs take precedence over Domain GPOs, which take precedence over Site GPOs, and the Local Group Policy has the lowest precedence.

The new Delivery Controller must have the securityadmin fixed server role on the SQL Server instance (to create and manage database logins) and the db_owner fixed database role on the existing Site databases (to join and configure the site schema).

When the Site database is inaccessible for 90 seconds, the principal broker (Citrix Broker Service) on a Delivery Controller switches to the Local Host Cache mode and uses its local database to broker new sessions. The other Delivery Controllers in the Site do not broker any sessions during the outage.
