Nsrwatch is a monitoring tool used to view current device operations, active sessions, messages concerning recent activity, and any pending messages. Nsrwatch can be used to monitor all services related to NetWorker. The other options are not related to this tool.

A backup administrator can configure a Microsoft Exchange server to be directed to two types of devices: PowerProtect DD and AFTD (Advanced File Type Discovery). PowerProtect DD is a disk-based data protection solution from Dell EMC that provides backup, replication, and recovery for physical, virtual, and cloud environments. AFTD is an add-on that helps to identify, classify, and protect file types such as Microsoft Exchange and other applications in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

One of the features of the CloudBoost appliance is that it enables the transfer of backups to cloud storage. It does not replace the PowerProtect DD series or DDVE appliance.

The Dell EMC Cloud Tier feature allows customers to offload data from a PowerProtect DDVE to a cloud storage provider such as AWS S3. This feature provides a cost-effective way to store data in the cloud and helps to reduce storage costs associated with on-premises storage.

By default, the Server Protection policy and Server backup workflow are used to back up the CFI (Client File Index) on the NetWorker server.
