A.Is the entity that intends to install, operate, maintain a new pipeline that crosses existing pipeline facilities. The Crossing company may designate a third-party or parties to perform the task necessary to accomplish a Crossing but remains responsible for the work performed by such third parties.

B.Is the singular point of contact identified within the company of the crossing company and the owner who has the responsibility to communicate about the safely managed crossing. There will be a cross and Company designated contact and an owner designated contact.

C.Inspectors are expected to function at all times as a representative of the pipeline company owning and or managing the project. In most cases the inspector works for or represents a pipeline company, with strict procedures and war contract provisions are in place that spell out the expectations and obligations of the inspectors performance.

D.An individual qualified to monitor, assess, evaluate, verify, discuss, decide, resolve, report, and document pipeline construction activities to ensure the requirements of the design, drawings, specifications, regulations, and Industry practises are being met safely, effectively, and in an environmentally sound manner.
