Avaya Aura Presence Services relies heavily on the XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) standard to facilitate real-time communication between clients and servers.
Proper port management is essential for both internal and federated (external) presence tracking:
Port 5222 (Client-to-Server): This is the standard port for XMPP client connections. Endpoints such as Avaya one-X Communicator, Avaya Equinox (now Avaya Workplace), and other XMPP-compliant clients use this port to authenticate and send/receive presence updates to the Presence Server.
Port 5269 (Server-to-Server): This port is used for XMPP Federation. When the Avaya Presence Server needs to communicate with a third-party presence server (such as another enterprise's XMPP server or an external service), it uses port 5269 to exchange presence information across the different domains.

A: The services in the Event Report group provide a client application with the reports of events that cause a change in the state of a call, a connection, or a device.
B: The services in the call control group enable a telephony client application to control a call or connection on Communication Manager. Typical uses of these services are:
placing calls from a device
controlling a connection for a single call.
C: The services in the query group allow a client to query device features and static attributes of a Communication Manager device.
E: The services in the routing group allow Communication Manager to request and receive routing instructions for a call from a client application.

The initTM (Initialize Trust Management) command is used to establish the trust relationship between the Avaya Breeze platform and the Avaya Aura System Manager (SMGR).
Trust Establishment: When you run initTM -f, the Breeze server attempts to contact the System Manager to download the Identity Certificate and the Trust Anchor (Root CA).
Authentication: For this security exchange to be authorized, System Manager requires an Enrollment Password. This password is set globally in the System Manager web console (under Services > Security > Certificates > Enrollment Password).
Expiration: If the enrollment password has not been set, or if it has expired (they are typically time-bound for security), the initTM command will fail with an authentication error, preventing the Breeze node from joining the management domain.
