Because the patient's psychotic symptoms continue even in the absence of depression, you can rule out major depressive disorder with psychotic features. In schizoaffective disorder, it is important to treat both the mood and the psychotic symptoms; therefore, you should choose a combination of an antipsychotic and an antidepressant.
Ziprasidone and sertraline are the only answer choice that combines these two classes of medication.
