Netskope's dynamic steering feature allows the Netskope Client to automatically detect whether the device is operating in an on-premises or off-premises environment and adjust its steering behavior accordingly. Two specific configurations in the Netskope UI are required to enable this: first, the "Enable Dynamic Steering" option must be activated within the Steering Configuration section, which enables the client to distinguish between on-premises and off-premises states; second, the "On Premises Detection" setting under Client Configuration must be configured, which defines the criteria such as an internal DNS hostname or IP address that the client uses to determine whether it is on-premises. Netskope's Event Streaming feature enables the delivery of HTTP transaction logs in near real-time to external consumers such as SIEMs, data lakes, or analytics platforms.
